I went out to Spain with Joe Taylor, for a long weekend of riding with switchbacks downhill last week from 31st March to 4th April. We rode lots of fantastic trails in the sun around the Malaga area.We where based in Benalmadena and where guided down different tracks within a 1 hour radius of our apartment there.
Had a great time by all accounts.

Raced the BDS rnd 2 at Moelfre yesterday, had pretty high hopes after my week out in Spain. Was feeling pretty strong on the downhill bike and the bike was working well, after ironing all the problems with it in Spain.New Fox RC4 is working great and a box fresh set of highrollers.

Finished pretty much in exactly the same position as Rnd 1 despite all the riding in spain and a perfect bike. I had what I thought to be a pretty quick solid race run, It felt like I nailed all the jumps and I thought I'd smashed a few turns on the way down as well. Turns out I finished 29th in Expert and a mer 100th Overall. Distinctly average. I actually went a second slower in my final race run than I did in my seeding despite feeling smoother and faster.
Have another month until Glencoe BDS rnd3 to make some changes.

Going to get some headphones made for my CAD/CAMM project at Uni this week first, deadline Friday.

All the best

1st Post

1st Post in my new blog. I'm Adam Price, hobbies are studying Product Design at UWIC and I work at http://www.bikeshedwales.com/ also I race downhill bikes on the weekends around the UK for myself and http://www.juicelubes.co.uk/. I going to use this blog to talk about the things I get up to when participating in forms of cycling.
Just raced the first national race an Nant G in North Wales. It was a good weekend all in all, but my result sucked and the weather sucked even more. But the track was a good challenge, haven't ridden such an awkward/technical track in a while.
Think I might give riding SPDs ago on the downhill bike, I got into riding with them on the XC bike this winter or didn't get on with them, depending on the weather conditions.
I went on a epic night ride around Afan in the snow and had so much trouble getting clipped in dabbing all the time in the snow didn't help.
But I might well give them a bash in Spain flying out to Malaga with Switchbacks next Friday April the 1st.
Writing this avoiding finishing my dissertation preparation essay that has to be in on Tuesday, so all the best.
